Michele M. Volpe’s practice concentrates on health care law.  She has extensive experience advising healthcare providers and has spent the last 17 years representing clients on a wide array of corporate and regulatory issues.   Michele has experience in representing health care industry clients in matters involving administrative proceedings, anti-trust counseling, compliance plans, contract preparation, negotiation and review, corporate formation and governance, employment contracts, executive compensation, fraud and abuse counseling, HIPAA compliance, managed care, medical staff issues, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, mergers and acquisitions, Office of Health Care Access matters, physician compensation, physician recruitment, physician-owned surgical centers, physician/hospital joint ventures and regulatory compliance.

Michele has regularly appeared before Connecticut’s Office of Health Care Access (“OHCA”) on Certificate of Need applications, applications for party status, applications for intervenor status, and representation of providers at public hearings and providers involved in investigative proceedings before OHCA.

Ms. Volpe is admitted to practice law in the State of Connecticut.  She received her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and her B.A. from Boston College.  She is a past director of the University of Connecticut School of Law Alumni Association, an officer and director of the Connecticut Health Lawyers Association; and a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
