Michele M. Volpe’s practice concentrates on health
care law and regulatory matters, managed care law, and corporate
and contract law for physicians, hospitals and health care
entities. Over the last several years, Michele has had the
opportunity to work on a variety of high profile matters
in the health care industry. She has formed or worked with
hundreds of health care professional associations, networks
and group practices within the state, and has participated
in the development of approximately twenty physician networks
in Connecticut, New York and Rhode Island. She also has
extensive experience in representing providers in the negotiation
of managed care contracts, joint ventures, and review of
arrangements for Stark and Anti-kickback compliance.
Ms. Volpe is admitted to practice law in the State of Connecticut.
She received her J.D. from the University of Connecticut
School of Law and her B.A. from Boston College. She is a
past director of the University of Connecticut School of
Law Alumni Association, an officer and director of the Connecticut
Health Lawyers Association, and a member of the American
Health Lawyers Association and the American Academy of Healthcare
Attorneys.
