Christopher M. McKeon practices in the areas of commercial
litigation, commercial and residential real estate, banking
law and general business law.
A large portion of Mr. McKeon’s litigation experience
involves real estate issues including foreclosure, summary
process and other landlord - tenant disputes, tax appeals,
condemnation appeals, zoning appeals, mechanic’s lien
claims, and other property related litigation. Mr. McKeon
is experienced in pre-trial motion practice in both state
and federal court, he is familiar with all available mediation
forums, and he has tried many commercial cases to judgment.
Mr. McKeon’s litigation clients include commercial
banks and other financial institutions, property management
companies, small and large businesses, as well as individuals.
Mr. McKeon also has extensive experience in commercial
and residential real estate. He has represented clients
in a wide variety of real estate transactions including
sales, refinances, purchases and leases.
Mr. McKeon’s banking practice involves advising bank
clients in the areas of negotiable instruments, lending,
deposits, collateral and other issues governed by the Uniform
Commercial Code. Mr. McKeon has assisted a major Connecticut
bank in instructing customer service personnel in the areas
of business organization, civil process, and probate issues
affecting the bank’s day-to-day operations.
In addition to the foregoing, Mr. McKeon represents numerous
small business clients in forming corporations, partnerships,
and limited liability companies. He continues to serve as
counsel to such business clients addressing a wide range
of legal issues affecting their business operations.
Mr. McKeon is admitted to practice in Connecticut in both
state and federal court and in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
He received his B.A. in Political Science from Fairfield
University in 1988 and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac
College School of Law in 1991 where he served as Executive
Managing Editor for the Quinnipiac Law Review.
